~ God The Father, Part 2 ~

The word, “home,” has always been a comforting word to me. At this stage of my life, I think back with precious memories of the loving home my Mom and Dad provided for me and my siblings. My Mom, Dad, sister, and brother have all stepped into eternity to meet God, face to face. I miss those days when we were all together, and the sentimental part of me longs to have just one more day with them, back when life seemed so much simpler.

But I also think about the family and home God has blessed me and Marlene with. Our son, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren. God has been good to us. As a minister, we have moved around to fulfill the call God placed in my life. There are several places I could call home. But I always add, for me, home is where Marlene is. Home evokes feelings of love, safety, and provision.

In Revelation, chapters 4 and 5, we are given a glimpse of heaven. While many things are going on, they all revolve around God the Father, who sits on the throne. This is the more common place where we see God the Father. Throughout the Book of Revelation, we see the climax of everything God is. Sin will be dealt with. Those who thought they could sin and still go to heaven are going to learn differently at the Great White Throne Judgment. But those who believe will be ushered into the place our minds cannot begin to comprehend. Every day brings us one day closer to when the beauties of heaven will become real. What an incredible day that will be. What we see in part and understand in part for now will be fully understood when we finally see the Father. How great is our Father’s love!
