  1. His understanding of his death as a pathway to redemption for humanity might have brought him peace. He was aware that his sacrifice would lead to the reconciliation between God and humanity, offering salvation to those who believe. This profound understanding of love and sacrifice could have been a source of strength as he faced the cross.

    1. I agree that there was an element of peace knowing that some would believe. I can’t help but wonder how He felt knowing some would not believe. I’m thankful He did it for those would. As part of a song says, “He was born to die, that I might live.”

  2. I think his heart was breaking, he had to be scared, and maybe deep down he was wondering is this really gonna be worth it?

    1. We know He felt the weight of what was about to happen based on what happened in the Garden of Gethsemane. I’m sure He felt it would be worth it for those who believe, but I can’t imagine how He must have felt knowing that some would not.
