~ Whatever You Do ~

We tend to identify ourselves by our vocation in life. I’m a carpenter, I’m a businessman, I’m a housewife, I’m a preacher. Some think that what we do determines our rank in life, meaning that some are more important than others, at least in the eyes of the world. Celebrities usually think they are the most important. I’m glad that God doesn’t measure our worth based on how high we’ve climbed the social ladder, how much education we have, or the size of our bank account. Compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, unity, peace, thankfulness, and love are of greater importance to God. These are things that God looks for.
