A painter was asked to capture happiness on canvas. He chose a family sleeping peacefully on a creaking bed. One leg of the bed was broken, supported by two bricks. The roof leaked. The family dog slept calmly beside them.

This painting reveals a powerful truth: happiness is not the absence of problems. It is the ability to rest when life is not perfect. Happiness is finding comfort in what we have, not what we don’t have.

I see a generation rushing madly around, seeking happiness in things that pass away, and unable to enjoy the journey and the blessings of God that material standards cannot measure. While we all want the finer things in life, I pray that we will learn to be thankful for what we have.
