Revelation 1:5-6, “To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father, to Him be glory and power forever and ever! Amen.”
If you’ve ever attended a fireworks show, you know that while it may have been spectacular, the greatest part is always at the end. Just when you thought they must have launched them all, suddenly, the whole night sky explodes with a seemingly endless finale.
Because it’s the last book in the Bible, we tend to see the Book of Revelation that way, as a finale. It is the end, although not really; it’s just the beginning. We all try to imagine what heaven will be like. We are given brief glimpses, but they only whet our appetite.
While being in heaven will be enough, the Bible says that God has special things prepared for us. In the Kingdom of Heaven, we will all serve as Priests. Revelation 5:10 says “kings and priests.” Do I fully understand all that entails? No, but it’s going to be an exciting time! Are you ready for heaven?
